Intramurals Signature Campaign: Day 1

By Jennifer Pauline Lim, FAESO Deputy

08/29/2018

As the university Intramurals kicks off, the deputies roam around the campus to continue the campaign to “Reduce single-use plastic waste” with their placards stating some phrases that would hit the conscience of the readers. They let those people who are involved in the USTP community to strongly support the campaign by willingly sign the signature sheets and do their duties responsibly and to be cognizant of the trash particularly in plastic.

The campaign started on World Nature Conservation Day and this advocacy enlightened the organization how nature is sick from unruly plastic waste. With this, we need to take an act and be cautious, for disaster by our own creation is inevitable.

Thus, the campaign is being conducted to encourage the USTP community to support in “reduce the use of plastic” by simply signing in the signature sheet to lessen the plastic waste around the campus to help our Earth in our own simple way. As a result, if a number have signed the signature sheets, plastic will certainly be eliminated in the campus and we will start bringing our own dining containers and tumblers that help in reducing the plastic waste. Your signature is a huge help in saving our world.

Although some are declining the sheet, we encourage everyone to participate in signing in the signature sheet and support the campaign to save the environment because we should be mindful that the time is irreversible and day by day our Earth is slowly dying from our unhealthy actions.Come to think of it, when the moment has arrived that we are covered by plastics, do you think there is still a chance for you to sign?
