The ‘Reduce Single-Use Plastic Campaign’ is continuing its success in gaining a number of signatures from both the students and the faculty alike.

On the second day of Intramural Games 2018 marks also the second day of the signature campaign spearheaded by the Federation of Accredited Extra-curricular Student Organization (FAESO) though this has already been previously started last 27th of July.

Student leaders from the said organizations are progressing on gaining the university’s personnel and learners’ attitude towards the said campaign. These leaders have signage hanged on their necks containing emotional and strategic statements regarding the issue on proper disposal, usage of plastics and proper segregation.

Ten student leaders from the said organization do the work, each of which aims for a hundred inscriptions.

Departments of Math, Physics, Chemistry, Social Sciences and Information Technology found at IT and Science Complex Buildings are assigned areas for today’s campaign.

These student leaders tread across different buildings, departments and colleges. They come from across colleges which aim for the betterment of the university. As of today, (30th of August 2018), approximately 1,500 persons already signed.

The challenge is on, amid of the hectic activities during the day. Still, they were successful on gaining these signatures which will soon be beneficial everybody.

One of the purposes of the signature campaign is to gain data needed for laying proper proposal with regards to the current underlying issues faced by the campus.
