KADUGO 2020: REFLECTION OF POSITIVITY IN SERVICE FOR HUMANITY

USTP’s Red Cross Youth Virtual General Assembly



One of the unit organizations of Federation of Accredited and Extracurricular Student Organizations (FAESO) the Red Cross Youth (RCY) proudly marks the success of its first virtual general assembly and orientation held on November 14, 2020 via Google Meet and Facebook Live which was organized by the Board of Directors and Volunteers that bought a lot of social engagement to its newly accepted members. The said virtual assembly aims to introduce the short history background of the organization and the propose activities for this year and it also the best way to acquaint the “kadugo” members and officers amidst this pandemic.




The newly accepted members and the newly elected officers were introduced to the organization’s history background in general; from its true goals and aspiration to the development of its Mission and Vision. The organization also highlighted its 7 Fundamental Principles also known as HINIVUU which stands for Humanity, Impartiality, Neutrality, Independence, Voluntary Service, Unity and Universality they also showed their biggest accomplishments throughout its journey in and out of university and also includes its propose activities for the year 2020-2021. In addition, they also introduce their newly elected officers and welcomed their newly accepted “kadugo” members and came up with a Question and Answer portion to the members regarding on the talk of the meeting it also comes with a prize to have an icebreaker on the said assembly.



The USTP’s Red Cross Youth was established in 2013 under Mr. MJ Coquiat that came from a “personal reason” and yet resulted to a bigger impact on the university on the present day, it also opened an opportunity to the university to extend its service to the community and to the Trailblazers since most of the universities in the city has its own Red Cross Youth unit. The Red Cross Youth Misamis-Oriental Chapter supported this organization in the university to have enough resources to instruct and meet the demands of the organization in order to make it fulfilling and bring out service to people.



The assembly succeeded its aim and intention to acquaint all the “kadugo” volunteers with the presence of its President Mr. Christian Barbin and the moderator Mrs. Rhegie Caga-anan together with the body of officers and the newly accepted “kadugo” members. Midyear Evaluation and Basic Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Training ( BDRRMT) probably will be on December or January in the 2nd Quarter are two next major activities of the organization, just stay tuned and keep updated on their social media platforms you can also visit their official Facebook page @USTPRedCrossYouth. The assembly ends with personal prayers for the victims of the typhoon Ulysses.
